I mentioned in a journal that I wasn't completely over The Hunger Games and that I still had so many questions, especially about those elaborate arenas that they somehow managed to build annually.
This is my take on the second Quarter Quell arena that Haymitch had to fight in. It's my current obsession about the books.
When the tributes entered the arena, it's described as the most breathtaking place imaginable. They found themselves and the cornucopia (which wasn't described, but something tells me that it was made to resemble an actual, oversized cornucopia) standing in the middle of a vast, fragrant, green meadow that stretched for miles. The sky was azure blue, with billowing, fluffy white clouds. On one side of the arena was a wooded area, and on the other, a snow-capped mountain.
